Kennesaw State vs. Emory Preview

April 04, 2012

By Tom Mudrak for KSU Lax

Kennesaw State is back in town on Friday night as the Emory Eagles will visit the Owls Nest for a divisional matchup with the #19 ranked Owls. Kennesaw looks to make it three straight victories against their cross town rivals; the last two games between the schools have been decided by a combined four goals, including a triple overtime victory last year for the Owls at Emory.

Kennesaw comes into the game on a three game winning streak, which included wins against two ranked teams and all coming on the road.

The team is hoping for a boost from some players coming back from injury, including star attack man Brad Jones, who has been hampered by a hamstring injury since the Dayton game. The team will also welcome back Coach Anthony Grizanti on the sideline after taking a one game hiatus due to scheduling issues.

The Owls are excited to be back at the Owls Nest and look to impress a large crowd, which is expected to be in attendance.

Festivities for the evening include a pre-game tailgate hosted by the KSU Sports Management Department. Free food, raffles, door prizes, and a DJ will be included in the pre-game party that will precede the game; with local restaurants, Bullfrogz, Wing Zone, and Olive Garden participating in the event.

Fans are encouraged to arrive at 5:30pm for free food and entertainment, with the opening face-off taking place at 7:00 pm.
