SELC action will be blessed this weekend with a great match-up between the No. 11 Kennesaw State Owls (9-1) and the No. 24 Emory Eagles (5-2). The winner of the game will win the Southwest division out right, and a number one seed in the conference tournament.

"Our games with Emory are always a battle and I am looking forward to it again Friday night. Coach Reed and I know each other teams very well and the game should come down to a few small breaks one way or the other," commented KSU Coach Ken Byers.

Kennesaw State (9-1) comes into the game with the opportunity to win the division for the first time in program history. The Owls have been impressive so far this season with their only loss coming against No. 22 Coast Guard Academy in a game that they may have overlooked."My main concern has been the complacency that the KSU Owls have demonstrated the past three weeks. To beat Emory Friday night we need to control their main threats," said Coach Byers.

Emory leads the series 5-1, and will be looking to avenge last year’s loss to Kennesaw State.

Considering it’s not even April yet there appears to be quite a bit of clarity as to who will be moving on to the conference tournament. The Southwest is set with Emory and Kennesaw State.
