Owls defeat Knights, Look towards SCAD

The Owls hosted a tough Carleton Knights squad out lasting them 13-8 in this inter-conference battle. KSU held a 5-1 halftime lead. The Knights battled and fought back hard in the second half. Kyle Hansen had 11 saves on 19 shots. Robert Witt led the team with 5 goals, followed by JD Douthit with 2 goals and 4 assists, Wes Bass had a hat trick, Ian Lehrer had 1 goal and 1 assist. Tim Minick and Justin Ferna had a goal a peice, and Tanner Bruton had 1 assist. Although a fight broke out, the KSU Owls were able to keep their composure and take home the victory. Both teams agreed that inter-conference play is something that should occur more often. Safe travels to Coach Watkins and our opponents from Minnesota.

The Owl’s are looking forward to a hard week of practice in preparation to take on SCAD for the Owls’ last opportunity to make the SELC playoffs for the first time in the schools history.
